Bob's 23-year-old shade and flowering tree nursery specializes in growing more than 180 varieties and cultivars of deciduous shade and ornamental trees ranging from the standard maples to the newer, unique, specialty material that sets projects apart from ordinary landscape installations. A significant personal achievement in his business has been increasing production by 20 percent, building new facilities including 10,000 square foot bare-root storage, the construction of a new office complex for increased efficiency and added personnel to oversee operations of the business. In 2005, Bob received the Madison/Perry Area Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year Award.

In 2000, Bob served as the president of the Horticultural Research Institute (HRI), the research arm of ANLA. During his service on the Executive Committee, HRI more than doubled their yearly grant funding levels. Bob also served as a director for the Wholesale Nursery Growers of America (WNGA) and has provided strong support and passion for the Kick the Dirt Tour & Talks.

Bob brings a commitment to finding a way to maintain a viable, legal workforce, labor saving and efficiency methods and increasing the value of this industry’s products and services. Bob represents ANLA’s region 3 covering the Midwest.
