Josh started in his family’s business at the age of eight watering plants, filling seed orders and assisting customers. He worked there through high school and returned to the business following college and a career in the hotel industry. Today, 11 years later, Josh is Co-President of Nicholson-Hardie with his brother Michael.

Josh has served ANLA on the Retail Division Board where he was president in 2003-2004. Josh’s accomplishments in and service to garden retailing were recognized in January of 2005 when he was named the Texas Nursery and Landscape Association Young Leader of the Year.

Josh views ANLA’s “strong presence in Washington” as critical to his business and the industry. He also feels ANLA’s efforts in unifying the green industry are an important focus moving forward. “(the industry) is too fragmented and must continue to come together to ensure continued success.” Josh represents ANLA’s region 2 which covers the south east and south central United States.
