Hines Growers: Tripping the Light Bloomtastic!
Hines Growers shares their vision for a garden of Bloomtastic! plants with two new introductions: Lavender Veil Butterfly Bush and Amazon Queen Hibiscus. Unlike standard Buddleias, ‘Lavender Veil’ is a compact grower, growing very low to the ground, reaching 1.5’ tall and no more than 3’ wide. Bearing abundant flowers, the continuous fragrant flushes of lavender blooms with white eyes thrill throughout the summer. Bahama Bay ™ ‘Amazon Queen’ reveals huge 6-7” ruffled coppery-orange blooms swirling with white veins. Her captivating multi-colored blooms in deep orangey-red tones match Pantones’ color-of-the-year Tangerine Tango! With dark, contrasting foliage and her hot colors, it’s easy to add tropical flair to patios, poolside, decks and trellises. Average winter temperature should be 55 degrees and should not be allowed to go below freezing.
