Robert J. Dolibois, CAE
Executive Vice President
Robert J. Dolibois, CAE, is executive vice president of the American Nursery & Landscape Association (ANLA), a Washington, DC-based trade association representing over 2,300 firms who grow, sell, and use landscape plants.
Prior to joining ANLA in February 1991, he was president of Association Management Group (AMG), a DC-based association management and consulting firm. While at AMG, Dolibois served as executive director of two trade associations and a professional society.
From 1974-1988, he served on the staff of the National Association of Life Underwriters (NALU), a trade association representing 135,000 life and health insurance agents. During his 13-year tenure, he managed strategic planning, membership development, chapter relations, technology, agent education and consumer services activities.
Dolibois serves on the board of directors of the Washington Youth Garden Council, the Friends of the National Arboretum, and the Small Business Legislative Council. He also served as the 1998-99 Chairman of the Board of Directors of the American Society of Association Executives, a membership society of more than 24,000 executives who manage leading trade, professional, and philanthropic associations representing more than 287 million individuals and companies. He is currently Chairman of the Board of ASAE Services, Inc., ASAE's for-profit subsidiary and is a member of the Committee of 100 of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Dolibois received the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation in 1979. He holds a B.A. degree from Miami University (OH) and is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honorary fraternity. Following graduation, he served as a naval officer for five years. He and his wife, Susan, reside in Arlington, VA.
